Describe with AI

Describe with AI lets you fill the most-used parts of a test by typing a sentence instead of operating every control. The change is made in the form as soon as it is generated, a summary shows exactly what changed, you can Undo or Refine it, and nothing is saved until you save the form yourself.

The bar is on the New test page and on the Configuration tab of an existing test:

  • HTTP request builder: one bar above the request list adds new requests, for example “log in with POST /login, then GET /orders”. Each request also has its own bar that rewrites only that request, for example “make this a POST with a JSON body”.
  • Load configuration: one bar sets virtual users, ramp-up, duration or iterations, and the execution locations together, for example “2000 users for 30 minutes from us-east and eu-west”. It replaces all of the test’s locations with the ones it generated, so a test that runs on a private datacenter would be detached from it if you save. The summary lists every location that was removed; press Undo to bring them back.
  • Failure criteria: one bar adds criteria, for example “fail if p95 is over 800 ms or errors exceed 1%”. New criteria are added after yours. Existing criteria are never replaced.
  • Schedules: the Schedules tab of an existing test has a bar that fills the name, cron expression and timezone, for example “weekdays at 2am Berlin time”.

Two bars are not always shown. The load bar is turned off for functional tests, which always run a single pass with fixed load. The failure criteria bar is hidden on VarioTests, whose pass or fail comes from their member tests.

On the New test page the bars need a project. Pick a project first. Until then they are disabled and say so. If you can view a test but not edit it, the bars are disabled too.

  1. Type your description and press Generate. Press Enter to submit. In the larger boxes Shift+Enter adds a line break; the one-line schedule bar has no line breaks.
  2. The result is placed in the form straight away, and an Applied summary appears under the bar. Each line shows the value before and the value now. Nothing has been saved yet.
  3. If it is not right, press Undo to put back exactly what the AI changed (edits you made by hand to anything else in the meantime stay). Or press Refine and tell the AI what to change, for example “eu-west only 30%”. A refined result replaces the earlier one, and Undo then returns what it changed to how it was before you used the bar. If a new description or a refinement fails, the earlier result and its Undo stay as they were. Dismiss hides the summary and keeps the values.
  4. Check the form, correcting any value by hand, then save with the page’s normal Create test, Save configuration or Save schedule button. Saving also retires the summary and its Undo.

The form is the only thing that changes. Saving uses the same request, with your own sign-in, as saving without AI. If the AI cannot make sense of the description, or the answer holds a value the form cannot take, nothing is changed and the bar says so.

Anything created this way carries a small sparkle. Click or tap it, or focus it and press Enter, to see the text you typed and any Refine instructions. The mark is saved with the test, so it is still there after you reload the page, and it stays when you change the values by hand afterwards. Objects you created by hand never show one.

Click into a bar to see suggestions. They combine your own earlier descriptions on that control with a few starters, and the Refine box suggests your earlier guidance. Your history is private to you. To remove an entry, delete it from the suggestion list.

Press Cmd+I (macOS) or Ctrl+I (Windows and Linux) to jump to the nearest visible bar. In Firefox, Ctrl+I is also a browser shortcut for page information, so click into the bar if it does not respond.

Describe with AI acts with your permissions and only sees what you can see: the test or project you are working in, and the execution locations and secret names available to you. A request that references a secret uses its name only; secret values are never sent.

Each generation and each Refine counts toward the same AI token allowance as the Loadrigo assistant (the Loadrigo token meter on your plan’s Usage tab), not a separate one. The Free plan has a monthly cap of 25,000,000 tokens; paid plans are unlimited. When the allowance runs out the bar says so and links to your plan, and every control keeps working by hand. If AI is not available in your environment, the bars show that and stay out of the way.
